Hamilton Sundstrand
Executive Overview
Hamilton Sundstrand employs 18,000 worldwide and is a key member of United Technologies Corporation (UTC). The key challenge they faced was to improve employee satisfaction scores on their Employee Satisfaction Survey, which is completed annually by the company and its subsidiaries.
To that end, employees and management alike completed FranklinCovey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Signature Program training. Sullair, Milton Roy, and Sundyne are the three subsidiaries that underwent training and their results were compelling.
Sullair saw a 10 point over-all increase in their employee satisfaction over the two years during and after The 7 Habits implementation. Milton Roy saw a significant increase as well. In the 3 years prior to The 7 Habits implementation, their employee satisfaction saw only a 2 point positive change. In the 2 years after The 7 Habits, Milton Roy saw a 7 point increase. Sundyne also saw an increase from a zero point change in the previous 3 years to a 10 point change since the implementation.
